Jam Onboarding Walkthrough

Hey, I'll wanted to do a quick limb going over Jam's onboarding flow, which I thought was pretty interesting and also very fast.
Just a few notes on the landing page. First, I think the use case they describe as really, really specific. It's on reporting bugs, so not on general video asynchronous video.
And then clicking right into Get Jam for free takes you to the Chrome extension page, which is pretty standard. As soon as I finish adding it to Chrome takes me to takes me to a jam welcome page, which is pretty well done.
The animation here is pretty smooth, but nothing's like too big to call out there. The next page has this really nice little signifier to tell you that you should pin pin jam if you want to use it.
I think that's well done. Other than that, it just continues to reinforce the use case here. One bug that I kind of noticed here is you can sign up with someone else's email.
So I'll, I'll be Janie for now. <laugh>. Yeah, and then you can see that I, oh, I don't think it locked me in yet, but now that if I pin jam, it just tells you to click the strawberry to try it out.
And I think what's good about the recorder is that it's very snappy, but also the actual actions you take are very close to where you click.
So it's much easier to get. I was poking around some more and I saw another page that I thought had something interesting to call out, which is the page that it shows after you've logged in and already download the extension.
So in this case what's really nice is that they kind of provide you inspiration for what to actually jam on.
So in this case, they give you this bug. So they're either saying, You can, you should be taking a screenshot of this bug, or and then when you do take a screenshot or, or record a video it takes you to a page where the main kind of feature is kind of editing the video or the screenshot that you took using their tools.
And then the other interesting part about this flow is that it doesn't take you to a new page. It just pops open a modal on top of the page that you're already on and that you are also not like the video is not immediately posted, you need to actively create it or basically create a link you can share after in order to actually finalize like getting that into your account.
So in this case, it only exists in your account after you've you've technically created the link for it.
